The smooth finish makes our utensils easy to clean. Handwashing with a Scotchbrite^® pad and hot soapy water will do the trick. (We don't recommend washing them in the dishwasher.) After washing your spoons treat them to Jonathan's Spoonwax ~ a special combination of Organic Coconut Oil and Beeswax. This brings out the natural luster and beauty of the wood.   With simple care your spoons will last you a lifetime.
