Karl and Debra received their Masters of Fine Arts Degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington. Previously Karl studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and Debra attended The Memphis College of Art in Tenessee.

Both Karl and Debra were Resident Potters at Berea College in Kentucky.

Their work has been shown nationally for over twenty years and is included in four books on contemporary ceramics Minimize this information.
