Artist's Statement - As time goes on, I find myself drawn to explore the feelings of people and places with paint. I use my imagination and insights to express my appreciation of a variety of people, the wonders of nature, and the passage of time.

I am largely influenced by scenes in my neighborhood which has a large African American community. I am always spellbound by the loving spirit of my neighbors who take the time to sit down and share stories together and truly look out for each other. They seem to know naturally how to pause and smell the roses.
