Yiddish Magnetic Poetry
Yiddish, the language of European Jewry, is based in German with elements of Hebrew, Aramaic, Slavic and Romance languages. Though it reached its height as a complete language before World War II, it is experiencing a renaissance today. American English is peppered with common Yiddishisms such as deli, schmooze, glitch, maven, and schmuck. This kit contains a mix of Yiddish and English words, as well as a mini Yiddish dictionary, allowing everybody to join in the fridge door kibitz! A slight variation on the Magnetic Poetry theme, this kit contains common phrases cut into pieces as well as words and word fragments; mix them up for hilarious results! Some find them easier to use than the seperate-word-tile kits. Everyone finds them a ton of fun! Contains over 300 magnets. 4.75 w x 3 h x 1.25 inches d.
