Using earthenware Janet & Michael Francoeur have created charming pots for the table. Bowls, cake plates, chip & dips, vases, featuring calligraphy and styalized garden scenes.
Michael has been throwing pottery for 6 years having studied under Elizabeth Priddy and Stephen Jepsen. Janet decorates his pottery, and she is also a tile maker. Janet has a BA in drawing and printmaking from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan, and has studied under Kathy Triplett, Dina Wilde-Ramsing, and Lana Wilson.
This new line of pottery is just one of many things this couple has collaborated on during their 17 years in New Bern.
Janet is best known for her architectural drawings and paintings of New Bern which Michael mats and frames.
And together they run their business, Carolina Creations. Janet keeping the front of the gallery going, doing the advertising, computer software programming, displays, bookkeeping, designing and maintaning their website carolinacreations.com and working with customers. Michael keeping everything functioning with his knowledge of computer hardware, mechanical and electrical systems.
Together they designed their new gallery space and have just recently built a new home and studio space one block from their gallery.
Their dishes are made to be used - they are food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.

Dishes with quotes & paintings in underglazes, each an original work of art, thrown by Michael, decorated by Janet. The words can be whatever you wish with a word limit of 24. Personalization with names and dates are available for a 15% fee. Designs vary. Pieces are decorated inside and out.
