About Us!

Our gallery is located in the beautiful town of New Bern, North Carolina on the Neuse River near the point that it joins the Pamlico Sound. We have chosen the most exciting work we can find and it ranges from fun to fabulous!
Carolina Creations began as a gallery featuring only North Carolina artists, the focus continues to be that but we have added work from across North America as we meet new artists in our travels and find work we just HAVE to have.

Janet graduated from Siena Heights College in Adrian Michigan with a BA in Drawing and Printmaking. For many years she worked in the Commercial Printing industry in the art department while doing her fine art on the side.
She focused on pen & ink drawings of historic architecture in the midwest and gained recognition for her work with the Lenawee County Historical Society and the Michigan Historical Society.
She sold her work throughout Michigan and Ohio at shows such as the Toledo Art Museum May Show, the Spring Show at Crosley Gardens, and shows in Charlevoix, Adrian, Bay City, Midland, Saugatuck, Lansing, the Michigan Art Train to name a few.
She married Michael Francoeur of Adrian and they moved to Aspen, Colorado where Michael was the Land Manager of the Windstar Foundation and Janet pursued her art. She worked for the Aspen Times as well as the Aspen Arts Council and was a key member of the Prince of Peace Art Gallery. While in Aspen she began to add color to her drawings with watercolor.
