| After six years there the Francoeurs love of the water won out and they began searching for a new home. They arrived in New Bern, North Carolina in 1989 where Janet immediately began drawing the lovely town. It was there she began to add color to her drawings then moved on to watercolor, oil and clay. They opened their gallery in Downtown New Bern in 1990, in 1995 Michael joined the endeavor and soon became interested in pottery and began to throw. He has studied with Elizabeth Priddy and Stephen Jepson. In 1998 they moved the gallery to 321 Pollock Street and in March of 2002 they purchased the building beside them at 317 Pollock Street and after extensive renovations moved their gallery in June of 2003. |
